About

The Ganbatte Times is an unofficial Kyoto JET publication, written for and by members of Kyoto’s JET and English-speaking community. The current editors have no idea how old the Ganbatte Times truly is, but it’s been circulating for a while. It went eco-friendly with the move to email distribution in 2008, and evolved to a website in February 2010. The change to online format is an earnest effort to reach a wider audience and facilitate connection between JETs, past and present, and our friends.

Current editors are Melinda Antaramian and Kim-Chi Do. The webmaster is Laurel Ryan. They mostly know what they’re doing.

We welcome any comments or suggestions from readers. Similarly, we welcome any input, articles, photos, or party invitations from current JET members, JET alumni, and other members of the English-speaking community. See the contact page for more information.
